District Director OFFICE OF PRICE ADMINISTRATIONPRICE DIVISIONKey BuildingOklahoma City, Oklahoma June 26, 1943 TO ALL FOOD RETAILERS

Enclosed herewith is Order No. G-4, under General Order No. 51, effective July 4, 1943.

This order establishes "community prices" on certain food items identified in the order for all of the fifty-three counties named in the Oklahoma City District; and, as "ceiling prices", supercede and take precedent over "ceiling prices" determined by an other method, under any other price regulation.

All brands, sizes, quantities and qualities and all food items not specifically identified herein are subject to the "ceiling price" determination of the applicable Maximum Price Regulation.

This community price order requires that the list of food items, which is a part of the order, be posted in the retailer's place of business at a place where the consumer may have access to it. The order further provides, that each store shall be identified with an adequate sign, conspicuously posted in the store, indentifying that particular store as "OPA-1", "OPA-2", "OPA-3" or "OPA-4", according to the class determination outlined in the order.

We would remind every food retailer that Maximum Price Regulations No. 336 Revised, No. 355 Revised and No. 390 require that the official retail price charts on pork, beef, feal, lamb, mutton, soap and soap products be posted in the store where the consumer purchaser may have access to them.

Additional copies of the "community price order", as well as the portk, beef and soap charts, may be obtained from the price clerk in your own County War Price and Rationing Board; and, any questions concerning these food regulations may be directed to the Price Clerk of th County War Price and Rationing Board, who either has, or will obtain the answers from the local Price Panel or the District Office in Oklahoma City.

In addition to the price regulations referred to above covering pork, beef and soap, every retail grocer should be familiar with the requirements of Maximum Price Regulation No. 238 Revised and No. 268 Revised, Digests of which were recently mailed to you and which are available upon request of the Price Clerk in the County War Price and Rationing Board.
