Huskers Turn Over Tires
Used in Practice to Scrap

If the Cornhusker halfbacks don't do a fancy job of sidestepping this fall you can blame it on the war.
Head Coach Glenn Presnell Monday tossed two dozen old auto tires on the Nebraska salvage pile.
For 10 years the tires have been used in September routine (sic) designed to improve the footwork of Cornhusker football candidates.
"I believe we can accomplish the same job next fall with chalk circles," observed Presnell.
