Fort Collins, Colo., Sept. 28–(A.P.)–The Colorado women's land army, thousands strong, is doing a man-sized job in the harvest of Colorado crops this year.

Mary Sutherland, assistant state supervisor of the army of the extension service of Colorado State college, reports these examples of front-line action by the women's land army:

Women hauled grain into an elevator in Julesburg and saved their husbands and fathers a total of about $1,000.

Ferne Dollison, Sedgwick county high school student, hauled grain in a truck every day for nearly three weeks.

Mrs. Lloyd Hodges of Julesburg has hauled grain for three years and invested the money in war savings bonds.

Mrs. Thelma Anderson of Denver goes to Julesburg each harvest season to drive a grain truck along with Mrs. Hodges.

Mrs. Alvin Sowder runs a rod weeder to help with summer fallow during harvest season in Sedgwick county.

Shirley and Helda Smyth, Julesburg high school students, worked eight-hour shifts on tractors with their brothers.
