Few Motorists Obey Wartime Speeding Law

"Very few drivers in Wyoming are staying within the 35-mile speed limit and a good many are exceeding the state highway law of 60 miles per hour," R. J. Bromley, superintendent of the state highway department, said yesterday on his return from two extensive inspection trips over the state.

Bromley gave this observation when discussing the alarming increase in highway deaths in Wyoming during the present year.

"I believe most of these accidents to be due to excessive speed, excessive especially in view of the condition of cars today," he said, adding, "many of the drivers whom I observe speeding are out-of-state persons."
